Responsibilities
- Participating in legal research and the creation of self-help materials
- Preparing background material and project reports in line with the strategic plan of the organization and the work plan of the section
- Research and analysis on policy and law related to the financial industry
- Providing help in vetting legal documents
- Calculating, posting business transactions, processing invoices, verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and providing other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
- Preparation of reconciliation statements,
- Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable)
- Work on auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns
- Provide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business
Requirements
- At least 3 months of internship experience in compliance/accounts/finance
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and database management
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices is a plus
