Responsibilities

  • Participating in legal research and the creation of self-help materials
  • Preparing background material and project reports in line with the strategic plan of the organization and the work plan of the section
  • Research and analysis on policy and law related to the financial industry
  • Providing help in vetting legal documents
  • Calculating, posting business transactions, processing invoices, verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and providing other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
  • Preparation of reconciliation statements,
  • Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable)
  • Work on auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns
  • Provide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business

Requirements

  • At least 3 months of internship experience in compliance/accounts/finance
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and database management
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices is a plus
